Gowrie Victoria is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO No 3900) specialising in training for the early childhood sector. We have a long tradition of training the highest calibre of child care workers and professional graduates who provide the best possible care for children.

Registered training organisations are audited by their relevant registering body on a regular basis. Download a copy of our most recent audit report.
Registered training organisations must publish a copy of its most recent AQTF Quality Indicators in relation to Learner Engagement, Employer Satisfaction and Competency Completion. Download the Competency Completion Report or download the Learner Engagement, Employer Satisfaction Report (57% of students and 85% of employers responded to this survey).
Government Funded Training
Now is the ideal time to make a start on gaining new skills, or upgrading your existing skills to help you get the job you want. The Victorian Training Guarantee is making vocational education and training accessible to people who do not hold a post-school qualification, or who want to gain a higher level qualification. What a great way to improve your skills.
Is there funding available?
State and Federal government funding available in 2012 for eliglible students.
Indicative government subsidised fee for eligible students is $500. The student tuition fee is indicative only and subject to change given individual circumstances at enrolment. Additional fees may apply such as student services and amenities fees.

START YOUR CAREER IN CHILDREN'S SERVICES NOW
Certificate III in Children's Services - New full time classes start in May 2012.
The Certificate III in Children’s Services is the minimum required qualification to work with children. This course trains students to become early childhood educators who plan and provide education and care for infants and children up to 8 years of age.
Duration - Total duration for full time students is 6 months. This includes work placement of a minimum of 240 hours and attending classes 1 day a week.
Total duration for part time students is 12 months. This includes work placement of minimum of 240 hours and attending classes 1 day a month.
Certificate III can also be delivered in the workplace to students employed in Early Childhood services.
Pre-requisite - Students need to obtain a Working with Children's Check. No previous knowledge or experience is required for this course.
RCC/RPL
Recognition of Current Competencies and Recognition of Prior Learning
Experienced workers can gain a qualification through the RCC/RPL process. The process recognises what you have already learned from your life and work experience and measures these acquired competencies against the qualification course you intend to complete.
